Where it all began!! Shrimpy,
Roger & Graham's very first Toy Poodle
Kaston Kennels is the home of the World Famous Vanitonia Show Kennel. Founded in 1962 by Roger Stone and the late Graham Thompson. The kennel started with Miniature Poodles and have gone from strength to strength. They have been UK Top breeders many times over the years. In 1992 they were joined by Lee Cox who became a partner in 1995 due to the untimely loss of Graham. Lee had a wealth of experience in dogs coming from a doggy family and handling his first dog at the age of 4 years. Lee bred his first CRUFTS Best of Breed winner at the age of 10years and first started judging at the age of 13years, becoming a championship show judge at 24. Both Lee's parent's are also championship show judges and his father was a member of the UK Kennel Club.
In 2001 saw the arrival of the ambitious and eager Tom Isherwood who now assists Lee in the presentation of the Vanitonia Dogs both in and out of the ring.
Both Roger and Lee are International Championship Show Judges.
Roger awards Challenge Certificates in All Poodles, Akitas, Dalmatians, Shih Tzu, Tibetan Terriers, Lhasa Apso, Bichon Frise, Cavaliers, Chihuahua & Chinese Crested.
Lee awards CC's in All Poodles, Clumber Spaniels (the breed he campaigned with his family) and Chinese Crested.
Kaston is also a small boarding Kennel and has a high tech Grooming Centre for which all breeds of dog are catered for.
