Where it all began!! Shrimpy,
The first Poodle owned by Vanitonia's Founders Roger Stone & Graham Thompson
Kaston Kennels is the home of the World Famous Vanitonia Show Kennel. Founded in 1962 by Roger Stone and Graham Thompson. The show kennel started with Miniature Poodles and have gone from strength to strength. They have been UK Top breeders many times over the years. The first Champion was a Standard Poodle in the 1970's and then in the early 1980's saw the first of what can only be described as the beginning of the Vanitonia Toy Dynasty. Sadly both Roger and Graham have now passed but we will be forever grateful for the opportunities, the advice, the knowledge and the trust that they have both given.
Lee joined the kennel in 1992 , coming from a doggy family and handling his first dog at the age of 4 years. Lee bred his first CRUFTS Best of Breed winner at the age of 10years and first started judging at the age of 13years, becoming a championship show judge at 24. Both Lee's parent's are also championship show judges and his father was a member of the UK Kennel Club.
In 2001 saw the arrival of Tom Isherwood who now joins Lee in the breeding, exhibiting and presentation of the Vanitonia Dogs both in and out of the ring.
Lee is an International Championship Show Judge.
Lee is approved to award CC's in :
Gundog: Clumber Spaniels, American Cocker Spaniels & English Springer Spaniels.
Utility: Mini Poodles, Standard Poodles & Toy Poodles
Toy: Bichon Frise, Chinese Crested & Cavalier King Charles Spaniels
Tom is approved to award CC's in Poodles and Chinese Crested.
Kaston is also a small boarding Kennel and has a high tech Grooming Centre for which all breeds of dog are catered for.
