LKA Championship Show
The final Championship show of the year and what a show for us.
3 breeds exhibited, 3 CC's and 3 BOB's
Rupert ended the year on top with the CC & BOB from Margaret Cordwell.
He is the top winning Clumber for 2009 and the #5 Gundog.
Lucy wins the RCC.
Greg retires with the CC & BOB from Marlene Carter.
he finishes the year as top winning Toy Poodle male.
Nora wins another CC & BOB this time under respected breed specialist Lisa McKenzie
she then goes on to win Gp2 under Dr Paolo Dondina (Italy)
She ends the year as Top bitch and Top Puppy. Top Crested is our own "Andy"

Not content with that, she then wins the Puppy Stakes under Stuart Mallard thus qualifying for the finals of the Dog World/ Purina Pro Plan Pup Of The Year

A Show to remember!!!
Rupert wins CC & BOB under the respected all rounder Ferelith Somerfield and finishes the day with a group 3 from Keith Young.
Andy wins the RCC from UK top judge Zena Thorn Andrews and Nora goes BP.
However, not content with that, Nora then wins the Puppy Group and returns on the final day to go Best Puppy In Show under Freda Marshall

Another Fab Show
Nora, at only her second show, wins CC & BOB & BP under breed specialist Dominic Browne and ends the day with a group shortlist under Brenda Taylor.
Rupert wins BOB under Linda Upton and goes Group 2 under Gordon Haran.
Grace ( Vanitonia Grace Kelly) wins the days heat of the Pup of the Year and finishes as runner up overall.
1st August
Chinese Crested Club Championship show
In a record entry of over 200 Crested's Nora ( aka Vanitonia Unwrapped) makes her debut at 6 months old. She wins her class but then finishes the day with Res BCC, RBIS and BPIS. Some debut !!!! Not to be outdone, Andy settles for the Res DCC as well. The judge was American breed specialist S M "Dick" Dickerson.

The saddest day for Vanitonia. Our much respected and beloved friend and partner Mr Roger Stone passed away peacefully at home. He was a legend and an history maker and he will never be forgotten. His legacy has been entrusted to us and we will carry it on, as he was so determined that it should be, in his memory. Thank you Roger for your faith and trust in us both. But mostly, we thank you for your friendship, guidance and for sharing your knowledge and expertise over the years. We will miss you but be assured that you will live on through the name " VANITONIA". Sleep well, you were special.

CRUFTS 2009
Sadly due to the bad health of our partner Roger Stone, Lee was unable to attend Crufts 2009 with either Poodles or Clumbers. However we were determined that Roger's Ch Vanitonia Brace Yourself (Andy) was present as he is a dog that Roger is particularly fond and proud of.
Needless to say it was an extremely emotional phone call when Tom rang to say that Andy had won the Dog CC from judge Mr Martin Freeman.
